The Polk Audio PSW series of powered subwoofers are the perfect integration of form and function. All but the PSW10 feature a floor coupled downward firing port for maximum bass impact while keeping the front of the cabinet as low profile as possible. The composite woofer of the PSW series is in sharp contrast to the paper cardboard woofers so common in most subwoofers.
By using a state-of-the-art Klippel Distortion Analyzer, Polk engineers were able to optimize the woofer's motor structure, voice coil alignment and suspension, bringing the best possible performance even at extreme listening levels.
“Dynamic Balance” is a Polk-perfected method of analyzing a speaker's microscopic behavior with laser Interferometry. Polk engineers can tune out unwanted resonance and distortion with the right combination of materials, geometry and construction techniques. This accounts for the pure, distortion free sound of the PSW series of subwoofers.
LFE line and speaker level inputs are featured on all but the PSW10 subwoofer. These inputs allow for easy connection to any system.
