JL Audio builds two outstanding lines of power amplifiers for the marine industry. First line is the M-series which offers sophisticated, well-proven amplifier circuits backed with impressive signal processing capabilities. M-series marine amplifiers are available in a wide variety of power configurations to provide a vast set of system design options.
The ultra-compact M600/1 offers a patented, high-efficiency Class D amplification circuit that delivers ample power to high performance subwoofer systems. JL Audio’s six-channel M600/6 is capable of powering an entire sound system consisting of subwoofers and two zones of speakers, or three zones of speakers, from a single compact chassis. The flexible 4-channel M400/4 and 2-channel M200/2 are perfect building blocks that can be combined in a variety of configurations, from simple upgrades to complete systems.
As with all JL Audio power amplifiers, M-series models offer an exclusive Advance Thermal Rollback protection to completely eliminate thermal shutdown events.
JL Audio's second line is the MHD-series of power amplifiers which applies a switching technology called Single Cycle Control™ to deliver world-class, full-range sonic performance and very high power from what seems like an impossibly small package. The MHD’s compact size is the result of outstanding electrical efficiency--over 80% at 1/2 power. This also results in a lot less current draw on a boat’s batteries. As with all JL Audio amplifiers, Advanced Rollback Protection circuitry is standard as are noise-rejecting, differential-balanced inputs. The MHD line also features a comprehensive signal-processing section with variable slope crossovers (12dB or 24dB/octave) and a handy remote level control option that enables installation of master or zone volume controls virtually anywhere in a boat, using the optional MHD-RLC. JL Audio MHD power amplifiers are available in a variety of power and performance levels: 900 watt 5-channel (MHD900/5), 750 watt 1-channel (MHD750/1) and 600 watt 4-channel (MHD600/4).
JL Audio’s MCL-RCL Remote Level Control / Line Driver can be connected to a source unit to convert fixed volume output to variable volume output. The MCL-RCL enables the volume of one pair of speakers to be changed without affecting the volume of the other speakers operating from the same source unit. |
