A standard marine source unit is often the right choice for interior applications or when used with a protective splash guard. All of Clarion’s standard marine source units combine power and performance in ways that are sure to please boaters, hot tub bathers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Clarion offers two standard marine source units. At the entry level is the M109 marine CD/Tuner which plays .WAV, .MP3 and .WMA formats. The AM/FM tuner is switchable to either European or US standards.

Connection with optional accessories, such as portable audio devices, is made easy with either model via a front-mounted auxiliary input. The M109 offers four RCA pre-amp line level outputs for applications utilizing power amplifiers.
While the M109 is designed for use in protected areas, its mylar covered chassis and conformal coated microprocessor and PCB ensure reliable performance in humid conditions. |
Clarion also offers a full-featured standard marine source unit for use in boats, hot tubs and barbeque grills—the M309. In addition to the features found in the entry level source unit, the M309 is Sirius/XM™ satellite-ready and iPod™ ready. It includes an infrared remote control and is ready for wired remote control (sold separately).
For ultimate flexibility in system configuration, the M309 includes six channel RCA pre-outputs (front/rear/non-fade) for perfect front-to-rear and left-to-right balance. A stainless steel chassis and terminal covers help protect the sensitive internal electronics from water intrusion. |

The feature-rich M309 includes a positive LCD that displays 2 lines of information and full-content/full control iPod™ operation via a USB port. Furthermore, the M309 is built with two auxiliary inputs (one front and one rear) for easy connection of portable devices. Fixed audio output sensitivity can be selected to match output volume between these portable devices. As a result of OEM input, the M309 is equipped with an illumination dimming lead (source unit and remote control) for efficient installation. |

| For multi-zone applications, or when multiple systems are to be integrated, the M309 features fixed audio output that enables control of volume in each listening area independent of the source unit.
